music, dancing & more
All-day-and-night entertainment starts at 11am in Ashokan's beautiful wooden performance hall with music and dancing for kids & families. This year's rousing revue of independent folk and roots music for all age includes a number of artists premiering new work and goes all day long, culminating in a rowdy midnight square dance.
The lineup includes: gospel-folk stompers Spirit Family Reunion, Hoot Hosts The Mammals, old-time song keepers Anna & Elizabeth, traditional Mexican ensemble Radio Jarocho, anthemic rocker turned country explorer Connor Kennedy, caller Megan Downes and stringband Little Leatherwood (feat. Stephanie Coleman + Little Nora Brown), vintage folk-blues-swingers The Wiyos, kid-rocker Uncle Rock, and "As The Crow Flies"; a musical storybook by Tracy Bonham (and friends.)
Enjoy local food from Ashokan & Veggie Oasis, local beer & cider, blacksmithing, sledding, all-ages crafts in the FiberFlame room (leave your child for an additional childcare fee), an array of upstairs parent-child activities, an instrument petting zoo by Hungry For Music (please bring an instrument to donate to kids in need) and intimate mini-concerts in the Pewter Shop filmed and recorded by Beehive Productions.
